Big Boy Eater

Wednesday was a big boy eater day for Noah! At his 2pm bottle with Ms Julie (our OT) he took 23ml of his 40ml bottle in 8 minutes on the medium flow nipple... we were shocked to see how little was left when we stopped to burp FIVE TIMES!

He had two poopy diapers - both of which Mommy changed (Dads being a slacker). One while Stefanie was holding him at the 11am feed and again before OT fed him his bottle! They were righteous smelling - never knew how powerful the smell could be! Plus, they said sweet Baby Noah had some powerful poots in the wee hours of the morning- sorry to his nurses, hee hee!

When the doctor made rounds she thought his eyes looked a little puffy ; that coupled with his first room-air trial (well, he had two: one was "unofficial" when he decided to remove his canula), his respiratory rate, and his dependence on O2 they prescribed a diuretic to help him pass some extra fluid that might be the culprit for the breathing/ bottle feeding issues. So, after a visit later that evening his nurse handed us a bag of "dirties".... lets just say the diuretic worked, FAST!

So his adjusted weight after the heavy pee pee is 4# 9.6oz.
