Announcements

He would suck on his toes if he didnt have socks on!

Noah had his 9 month checkup last week and it was all good news. No shots. We got the all-clear to take him to church! And he started meats last week too! He loves the chicken and rice combo with veggies. We also started a new fruit snack: apple, strawberry, banana...he loves this mixed with his oatmeal.

He weighs almost 18 pounds and is nearly 28 inches long. Hes getting so big!

In the last few weeks he has mastered sitting up and we started using his pack and play during the day- he likes spending time in there but not for long. He rolls over all the time and is starting to scoot forward if only he could keep his knees under him at the same time! We gave him his first table food Sunday night: mashed potatoes. We have yet to feed him something he flat out rejects or gags on. He got the name in the NICU and it still applies. Noah the good eater! He sits at the table with us when we eat dinner and he reaches for our glasses so we decided to give it a go. He "loves" to drink from our cups but still thinks his sippy cup is a play toy! And hes enjoying his "puffs" and apple juice for snacks.

We visited the eye doctor today (for 2 hours) and she said Noah looked great! We dont have to see her again for 2-3 years:) It was not a painful or torturous appointment either!

Right now we are waiting to find out if the suggested ph probe/sleep study is absolutely necessary... We do not trust the pulmonologist here in Baton Rouge and were giving him a second chance as suggested by Dr Davis in NOLA... now, we're ready to drive to Houston and get a real doctors opinon! The doctor here wants to send him home with a ph probe ( a tube in his nose and down his throat) rather than keep him in the hospital like his pediatrician and GI doctor both recommend.
