Happy Halloween

Noah was in the Halloween spirit (nearly all week). He was wearing festive clothes and scaring mom and dad with sinus issues and two trips to the Doctor's office. It was like something out of a B-movie with the projectile vomiting and black diapers but we got it all cleared up and figured out. Here are some pictures of the cute halloween outfits he wore this week.

Chubba Bubba

So we went to the Doc this morning cause Noah has a stomach bug and he weighs a whopping 8lbs 11oz (fully clothed)!

New News

Noahs "due date party" was a success. The park was very nice and we were able to visit with cousins, friends and family that had not seen Noah yet.

Noah even had his new best buds over to the house for a little while.We have also graduated to No.1 diapers... perfect timing also since we just ran out of Newborn diapers.

He had his second tub bath which he is getting to love and he took over 5oz of milk for the first time.

He was really hungry.

So full he was comatose. I think the respiration alarm went off after this one since his belly was pushing up his diaphragm making him take quick shallow breaths that didn't register.

Trifecta!

Well, 3 Dr appointments later and we know the following:

Noah is over 7lbs 8oz,

Tulane Hospital is filthy but the Doctors rock,

We can start weaning Noah off of oxygen,

and we no longer have to visit the surgeon for checkups!

Awesome week of good news. However, no week can be perfect. We had some vomiting after Noah had his 2 month booster shots and a slight fever, so mom and dad were on pins a needles for a few nights with many calls to the night nurses, but Noah is fine now. Eating well and sleeping well.

ALSO - TODAY IS NOAH'S ORIGINAL DUE DATE!!!!!

Just a swinging.....

After a few nights of no sleep, we were able to put Noah in a swing that Jason and Talissa graciously let us borrow from Aubrey and Brendan. Noah loves it!! and so do we. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.


We also tried on some new shoes! tooooo cute.

Its been a while...

Noah weighed 6# 15 ounces on Monday Oct 6th and that was before he ate, so were pretty sure he hit the 7 pound mark!

He has been a good sleeper the past two nights: He gave us 3 four hour shifts between feeds! Thank you baby boy! His fussy/Im not content time is now between 8pm and 11pm...but not anymore. Aunt Talissa and Uncle Jason brought us two swings for him to test out and he sleeps in both of them! Just once during the day- dont anyone freak out- he still sleeps in his bassinet every other time! Plus, he had his first nap in our bed with Mommy!!!

He is no longer fitting in preemie clothes, he's just too long at 20 inches:)

Mom and Noah take walks on a regular basis once a day in the afternoon.

We are decorating the house for his first Halloween, not sure if we are going to go Trick or Treating with our little pumpkin this year!

When he cant fall back asleep fast enough we sing to him the two songs we know by heart... Hey Fightin Tiger and the National Anthem. Stefanie also whispers the Lords Prayer, Hail Mary and the Glory be to him to soothe his hiccups.

Bath Time

Noah had his first semi-real bath today! We turned the heater on in the bathroom and put him on his bath seat. He kept the diaper on and we washed him down with warm soapy water.

He loved it. He actually grabbed his pacifier with both hands and held it in his mouth during the bath. Sorry about the shadows on the video - we bathed without bathroom lights.

He also was weighed by home health today and he is 6lbs 11oz.

Belly time as suggested by PT - also had that appointment today.
