oatmeal

We started oatmeal on valentines day and our now serving it twice a day! He's really getting the hang of it! Veggies (the yellow ones) are next on the menu! Noah is now sleeping and eating really well. We eliminated the last bottle of the night last week and everyone seems to be happier. Funny thing is he put himself back on his hospital schedule so he eats supper at 8pm and is in bed by 830... this is the most amazing schedule.

He gets a bath 3 times a week (tuesday, thursday and sunday) and yes he still enjoys his hairwash and kicking until Richard and I look like we've been in a wet T-shirt contest.

Hes weighing in at 14# 7oz and is measuring just over 25inches long! We knew something was up when his 3mos pants started looking like capris. He wears all 6 mos sleepers and 3-6 mos tops. Although, at this point he doesnt need any winter clothes, we are starting to beef up his shorts and polo shirt wardrobe.

Just today, he sat up by himself ie. I let go for 5 seconds and he didnt fall forward! Hes getting so strong. Home health came today and we decided he was definitely teething. His bottom left tooth will rear its head in the coming months!

I will post pictures as soon as Richards back from south TX with the camera! (I'M BACK!!!)

Post surgery Update

His surgery went well yesterday..no results yet since we are waiting on the lab work. He giggled for the first time today and appears none the worse for the surgery. One of my friends was the anesthesiologist and he told me he has never had a baby laugh at them like that while going under. Funny stuff. Noah came out of it okay and was starving and quickly took down pedialite and formula and held them down. Off the record comments included: "it doesn't look like Hirschprung's disease" and "this colon looks normal". We shall see.

My parent's came in which was a big, unexpected help since Noah had not eaten in 12 hours and needed much comforting to stay calm (especially since the surgeon was 1.5 hours late). Mom was able to hold him for over an hour and keep him nearly asleep and unaware he was starving.

Noah is getting very talkative and I will try to upload pics and videos this week.
