Happy Birthday Baby!

Noah is 2 months old today!!!

Nicole and Tiffanie: Noahs monitor went off this evening for apnea:( We hope it was a mistake and after talking to the Bankstons one of the twins has had that happen when he was situated funny- Noah was laying on my chest after eating and looked fine. Any thoughts??

1) Well, its been 5 nights since Noah has been home and were learning his likes, dislikes and what time he wants to just be cuddled! Home health came again today EARLY, well early for us! They did a room air trial for 15 minutes while he was sleeping and his saturation dropped from 99% to 83% so he just likes his little whiff of O2 for now! By Thursday we should have a MUCH smaller portable O2 tank- thank you Jesus! No more 75- year old smoker tank to haul around. Now, Mom can take him for walks by herself!!

2) Noah weighs 6# 2 ounces! So, we can continue breastfeeding if he keeps gaining weight!

3) So, weve learned that we have one 4 hour stretch between feedings usually from 11pm to 3am, then sometimes he doesnt fall back asleep easily and were not asleep by the 5am feeding. Noah is being BF 7 out of 8 feedings per day, with one bottle so we can mix his iron with pumped breast milk cuz it smells awful so it must taste awful. Right now, he is sleeping in his carseat for the first time and seems to like his new setup!

4) Oh yeah, we were approved for Medicaid which picks up what our insurance doesnt cover ...such a relief!

Hi Greig family :) It's Nicole, just checking in on the blog to see how things are going. I missed you guys by 15 minutes on discharge day - your "G" was still on the door! Looks like Noah is doing great - he is such a big boy now!

I would definitely think his monitor going off could be due to positioning. If his chin was tucked down while he was laying on you, that could make it alarm. Just keep an eye on his airway position.

Hey Richard, its Laurie ledet-manafi! I am so glad Noah is finally home! Chase was on a monitor for a little while and it had false alarms all the time. We learned not to stress over it. anyways let me know if you ever need anything. Chase was born at 3lbs 6 ounces and is now a big 9lb boy, so just know that Noah will be growing so fast its hard to keep up!
